A honeymoon baby, Susan was born just 9 months and 8 days after her parents eloped. She assumed that, when the time came, starting her own family would be equally effortless. It wasn’t. A twin miscarriage signaled the beginning of the long, hard journey of infertility. Now the mother of two children, she is also a Stephen Minister, frequent small group leader and featured speaker.
For several years, Susan led a unique Bible study series for infertile couples. This non-denominational ministry enabled couples to confront issues of grief & suffering, fears of hope dying along with embryos, and powerful feelings about God’s apparent silence—all within the context of scripture-based lessons and peer support.
Now, that group is led by “alumni” — couples who went through the course and then became parents. Using Pregnant with Hope: Good News for Infertile Couples as the basis for discussions, these alumni help other infertile couples renew their hope and strengthen their faith as they make the journey toward parenthood.
Susan started writing this blog to extend the reach of the Pregnant With Hope message. Each post offers infertile couples encouragement and answers to some of their hardest questions: Why us? What is the purpose of this journey? How can we feel less afraid? How long will our grief continue? Is there any way to suffer less and trust God more? Where is God in all this? Where do we find real hope? Every message is written with the intention of sparking an “aha moment” that decreases fear and strengthens hope.
Book and website reviewers have written: “Read [this] expecting to hear God’s voice,” “Nothing else comes close to meeting the deepest needs of infertile couples,” “Amazing, and much-needed.” If you have a comment to share — about the book, the website, or a particular blog — please post it, or send an email to susan@pregnantwithhope.info.
Hi I’m trying to email you to get a group discount on your books! Could you please email me back? Your contact form on your website is not working.
I’m SO sorry to have taken so long to respond. Sometimes, life is triage. If you are still interested in a group discount, please contact me directly at susanrad3210@gmail.com and we will try to work something out. Again, so sorry.
I came across this article when I needed it most. I see that it is dated almost a year ago… Do you have a current blog to follow? I would love to read more of what you have to say.
I would like to contact you about sibling rivalry and infertility – do you answer personal questions with your thoughts? thanks
Yes, I’d be happy to answer your questions — to the best of my ability: susan@pregnantwithhope.info
Sorry to be out of touch. My website and email were hacked. Within a few days, my new website (pregnantwithhope.info) and email (susan@pregnantwithhope.info) should be up & running. In the meantime, feel free to post comments of any length. Thanks!
God is in control.
This is awesome — thank you for sharing. I believe this testimony changed my life!!! God bless you.
